Bí đỏ
Bí đỏ thuộc loại cây thân bò, cho ăn cả hoa, ngọn và quả. Có nhiều loại bí đỏ cho quả với nhiều hình dạng tròn, dài, to, bé khác nhau. Bí đỏ thường được trồng vào đầu hè chủ yếu để ăn hoa, ngọn và quả xanh. Quả bí đỏ già được thu hoạch sau cùng. Nếu bảo quản tốt, quả bí có thể vẫn còn tươi ngon cho đến vụ sau. Nhìn chung, đây là một loại rau quả mùa hè tuyệt vời, được nhiều người ưa thích và hay trồng.
Bí xanh
Để trồng bí xanh (bí đao) nên chọn đất tơi xốp như đất cát pha, đất thịt nhẹ. Sau khi ngâm hạt giống, đem gieo vào những khay chuyên dụng để hạt phát triển thành cây non, cần duy trì độ ẩm và ánh sáng mỗi ngày. Khi cây non có 1 – 2 lá thật thì đem trồng vào chậu hoặc vườn. Để cây đạt năng suất cao nên làm giàn cho dây bí leo.
Cà chua
Là loại cây ôn đới nhưng cà chua giống vẫn có thể thích nghi với thời tiết mùa hè và đất cao, khô ráo. Loại cây này dễ trồng và cho quả trong khoảng 2 tháng kể từ khi trồng bằng cây nhỏ. Khác với các loại rau khác, bạn chỉ cần trồng một vài cây cà chua để hái quả tươi dùng dần hàng ngày.
Cà tím
Cây cà tím đòi hỏi đất trồng phải tơi xốp, nhiều mùn và dễ thoát nước, cần thường xuyên vun xới đất để tạo độ thông thoáng trước khi trồng cũng như trong quá trình cây ra hoa tạo quả. Về chế độ tưới nên tưới một ngày từ 1 – 2 lần vào buổi sáng và chiều muộn. Nguồn nước cần sạch sẽ và không bị lẫn tạp chất. Phân bón cho cây nên là phân chuồng hoại mục hoặc phân hữu cơ là thích hợp nhất cho cây trong những giai đoạn quan trọng.

Họ cây nhà đậu là lựa chọn tuyệt vời nhấttj nếu muốn trồng cây bằng ha. Có rất nhiều loại đậu để trồng như đậu đũa, đậu cô ve, đậu hà lan, đậu xanh, đậu đen, đậu nành. Thời gian để trồng và thu hoạch trong khoảng 2 tháng.
