Để khu vườn của bạn luôn ngập tràn màu xanh và tươi tốt những tháng hè này, bạn nên trồng các loại rau: rau dền, rau đay, mồng tơi, rau muống, rau ngót, các loại đậu, xà lách, dưa chuột, cà chua, bí đỏ.
1. Rau muống
Là loại rau quen thuộc trong mỗi bữa cơm của người Việt Nam, rau muống có thể được trồng từ ngọn hay từ hạt đều cực kỳ dễ. Đây là loài cây ưa nước nên cần chọn loại đất giữ nước tương đối tốt.
Người trồng dùng bình phun hay vòi có tia nước nhẹ để tưới, tránh áp lực mạnh làm dập lá rau. Khi trời mưa to, cây nên có mái che hạn chế nước mưa làm hư thối lá rau. Ngoài ra, người dân cần ngưng tưới phân trước khi thu hoạch từ 7 – 10 ngày để đảm bảo an toàn thực phẩm.
2. Xà lách
Xà lách là loại cây thân thảo và cũng là tên gọi chung cho một loại rau ăn sống với ưu điểm dễ trồng, không cần chăm sóc nhiều, tốn ít chi phí và cho năng suất thu hoạch cao. Xà lách không quá kén đất trồng. Khi gieo hạt, bạn nên chú ý ngâm hạt trong nước hơi ấm trong 1-2 giờ rồi đem gieo. Sau khi gieo hạt sâu vào trong đất khoảng 0,5cm thì tưới giữ ẩm cho cây.
Không nên trồng xà lách ở khu vực có ánh nắng nhiều và chiếu trực tiếp vì dễ cháy lá, úa vàng. Xà lách ưa nơi râm mát, vừa đủ nắng. Muốn xà lách giòn, ngọt thì cần phải tưới nước thường xuyên. Bạn nên chú ý thường xuyên bắt sâu ăn lá hàng ngày vào buổi tối và sáng sớm. Đặc biệt, khi cây đã phát triển, ngày tưới 1 lần. Sau khi gieo hạt từ 30 – 50 ngày có thể cắt ngọn để ăn và bón phân bổ sung dinh dưỡng cho đợt sau.
3. Dưa chuột
Chỉ một vài cây dưa chuột cũng dễ dàng cho ra số lượng quả đủ cho một gia đình 4 người, hay thậm chí hơn thế. Dễ trồng và sống bền, dưa chuột phát triển nhất vào mùa hè. Giống dưa chuột bụi rậm có thể trồng trong khu vườn nhỏ hoặc thùng hộp.
Dưa chuột là loại rau quả mà người trồng phun nhiều thuốc kích thích và thuốc trừ sâu nhất. Muốn có được những quả dưa an toàn, bạn nên tự mình trồng dưa chuột tại nhà. Dưa chuột có thể trồng được quanh năm và cho năng suất cao.
4. Mồng tơi
Rau mồng tơi là loài rau xanh được trồng phổ biến tại nhà bởi kỹ thuật trồng cây khá dễ, dễ chăm bón, dễ tìm mua hạt giống hay cây giống. Chỉ với một chút chi phí bỏ ra ban đầu, người trồng sẽ có rau mồng tơi ăn thoải mái trong suốt vụ.
Để trồng rau mồng tơi, bạn nên chuẩn bị chậu hoặc khay xốp, rổ nhựa, đất trồng rau, hạt giống rau mồng tơi và ít đất dinh dưỡng. Bạn cần cho đất trồng rau vào khay một lớp dày khoảng 8 cm, rải đều trên mặt khay và phủ lên lớp đất mỏng 0,5 cm. Sau đó tưới nước bằng vòi phun nhẹ đủ ẩm, ngày tưới 2 lần, khoảng 5-7 ngày hạt sẽ nảy mầm. Thường xuyên kiểm tra coi chừng côn trùng và ốc ăn hạt và lá non. Khi cây cao 20 cm, bạn nên làm giàn cho rau mồng tơi leo lên.
